Wirescope is a network security and connectivity company, built for the operators whose uptime is not negotiable. We are not a hyperscaler and we do not pretend to be one. We are a deliberately lean network of networks: a focused core of seven Points of Presence joined by our own backbone, plus direct relationships with the largest CDNs and carriers on the internet, brought together into one contract, one port, and one team that actually answers the phone. Layered onto that connectivity is inline DDoS mitigation that filters attacks at wire speed without ever over-blocking the traffic you want. It adds up to the kind of protection and performance once reserved for the largest budgets, offered honestly to everyone else.
Our Story
Founded by Erik Buckingham
Wirescope was founded by Erik Buckingham, who did not arrive at DDoS mitigation as a business opportunity. He came to it as an operator who had already spent years inside the problem.
Erik’s history runs through ProxyPipe and CosmicGuard, and years spent operating DDoS-mitigation networks through the era when volumetric attacks went from an occasional nuisance to a permanent condition of being online. That vantage taught him what the industry kept getting wrong: capacity oversold and never measured, SLAs written vaguely enough to never be enforceable, smaller customers quietly routed to slower support, and scrubbing blunt enough to take a customer offline more reliably than the attack would have.
Wirescope is the company built from that experience. Lean on purpose. Honest about being a network of networks rather than a fictional Tier-1 backbone. The same engineers and response time for every customer, whatever they spend. And mitigation tuned to cut attack traffic without ever cutting the traffic that matters. It is, in short, the provider Erik spent years wishing his own customers had.

When your traffic crosses our network, a problem is ours to solve. We do not hand you to an upstream and call it resolved.
